Six people died on the spot at Fintey, a village on the Ho trunk road in the Volta Region, when a taxicab crashed into a Metro Mass Transit bus with registration number, AS 7803 Z.
The accident occurred when the taxi cab which was heading towards Accra from Ho tried to dodge potholes on the road.
Journalist Jerry Tsatro Mordy, who witnessed the accident, said the driver of the taxi cab, after dodging the potholes, lost control of the steering and immediately went under the MMT bus which was also heading towards Ho from Accra.
Jerry tells Asempa News that the bodies of the six who were all in the taxi cab were disfigured, making it difficult to identified them.
“I would not want to spoil the appetite of those who are eating at this moment, but most of their heads, hands, and legs were not on their bodies. It is sad, people were crying”, Jerry explained.
