Six people, including a seven month –old baby died in two separate accidents involving four vehicles at Nkawkaw and its environs at the weekend.
In the first accident, four people died on the spot at Nkawkaw when an Accra-Bawku bound Yutong bus with registration number GT 4668-12 ran into a taxi cab with registration number GW 5405 W.
According to Police Chief Inspector Osei Bonsu, Nkawkaw Divisional Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTT) Commander, the driver of the taxi cab, Prince Osei and three occupants who were identified as Kennedy Owusu, Marty Arthur and one unidentified male adult died on the spot.
Two other passengers who sustained various degrees of injuries were rushed to the Holy Family Hospital for treatment.
He said in the second accident, another Taxi cab with registration number AS 4155 Z, ran into a Kumasi-Accra bound Metro Mass bus in which the seven month old boy died on the spot.
Chief Inspector Bonsu said one Kwesi Venyo died while on admission at the Holy Family hospital.
All the dead bodies have been deposited at the Agyakwa Private Hospital at Nkawkaw pending autopsy.
