Sporting Lisbon’s efforts to sign the midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng have ended over failure to reach agreement on the player’s image rights.
The Ghana international arrived in Lisbon on Tuesday for talks after being released by Schalke in May but Sporting announced on their Facebook page on Wednesday that negotiations were over.
"After negotiations with Kevin-Prince Boateng, it was not possible to reach an agreement relating to his image rights,” Sporting announced via their Facebook page of the 28-year old.
Schalke signed Boateng from Milan in 2013.
