The Independent Peoples' Party (IPP) wishes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) well on the occasion of today's exercise to select parliamentary candidates for their party in some selected constituencies across the country.
We are particularly happy for the NPP as today's voting to select parliamentary candidates is happening at a time when the NPP is going through lots of turmoil and internal party wrangling.
IPP praises the leadership of the NPP for keeping their heads above the stormy waters to organise this important exercise for the party today.
As the NPP delegates go to the polling stations to vote today, it is the IPP's hope that they will vote for people based on merit and not on parochial interests and factional cleavages that are characteristic of the NPP.
The IPP admonishes the NPP to endeavour to live above reproach during today's exercise. Let not all the acrimonies which followed the election of the party's national executives, portend to worse things to happen during today's voting.
We wish you well.
Signed:
Kofi Akpaloo
