The Believers’ House of Worship International recently organized the 1st National Worship Experience dubbed, “How Sweet the Name of Jesus” at the Osu Presby Hall in Accra.
The programme organized under the auspices of the Abraham Lamptey Ministries was part of efforts by the organization to encourage Ghanaians to worship God through music as well as mobilize resources to promote the kingdom of Christ.
It also provided an opportunity to participants to ask God to re-examine and renew their hearts and give them true hearts of worship that exhibit the sweet name of Jesus in every aspect of their lives.
Addressing the audience at the programme, Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, Chief Executive of Stratcomm Africa and Guest Speaker at the event encouraged chrisians to worship through their work and let our act of worship reflect in our daily lives to bring glory to the name of Jesus.
She asked, “how can we worship God and fail to deliver on work commitments, such as contractual obligations?”
Worship she said requires spirituality and encouraged christians to seek the face of God on how best to worship right so that we can continue to live in an attitude of holiness which she added also means that we can have a true heart of worship that directs what we do even in our everyday lives with the spirit of god truly in control.
Ms Cobbah said “Worshiping God, must lead us to feed the hungry and care for the physically and spiritually needy” as well and congratulated Rev. Abraham Lamptey and his ministry for the great missionary work they were undertaking in the Eastern region particularly in Ehuntem, Obobisa and Latefo Akura where the Abraham Lamptey Ministries was undertaking missionary work.
She added that it is heartwarming to learn that the ministry has purchased a 14 acre piece of land to build a 200-bed hospital for these communities at Darmang to help limit preventable deaths that occur in the rural areas and encouraged every one to support this worthy course.
She took the opportunity to extend an invitation to the congregation and the public to the Stratcomm Africa Praise Jam 2010 an annual thanksgiving praise event organised by Stratcomm Africa to give glory to God for his countless blessings throughout the year, scheduled to take place at the Adae Kese Hall, La Palm Royal Beach hotel
Rev. Abraham Lamptey, Host Pastor for the event, said worship is one critical thing that Christians can give to the Lord and urged christians to continually worship and thank God in all situations.
He regretted that more often, Christians remember to worship and go before God only when they are in distress and said “We must see God in everything and give thanks and praises to his name worship in spirit and truth.”
The night was filled with inspirational and soul inspiring music from seasoned gospel musicians like DSP Kofi Sarpong, Noble Nketia and Ceecy Twum, and thanks to the versatility of the MCs – Fiifi Folson of Sunny FM and Christopher Opoku of Asempa FM – who loosened in the spirit and gave the audiences a smooth cruise of spirituality, the night will forever be remembered.
