Singer Susan Boyle says she will be living the dream when she gets to sing for the Pope during his visit next month.
The TV talent show star shot to fame when she performed a stunning rendition of I Dreamed A Dream.
Boyle will now sing the number for Pope Benedict XVI when he says Mass at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park during his UK visit in mid-September.
She will also sing the hymn How Great Thou Art as well as a third "farewell" number, which is being kept under wraps by organisers.
Being given the chance to sing for a Pontiff has been a long-held personal wish for the 49-year-old Scottish woman.
"To be able to sing for the Pope is a great honour and something I've always dreamed of - it's indescribable.
"I've always wanted to sing for his Holiness and I can't really put into words my happiness that this wish has come true at last."
The Britain's Got Talent star also revealed how important practicing her faith is to daily life.
"The Pope's visit is a very big event for Scottish Catholics. My own faith is the backbone of my life," Boyle said.
"I pray and say the rosary each day and am very close to my religion. I am humbled and honoured by this invitation and I hope I can do my best."
Speaking of her late mother's attendance at the previous Pope's trip to Glasgow, she said: "I know she won't be there physically, but she was at Bellahouston Park in 1982 and I know she will be there again.
"Spiritually, she will be with us."
Michelle McManus, a former winner of the TV series Pop Idol, will also sing during the Glasgow event.
The Pope is due to meet the Queen in Edinburgh on the first day of his UK trip on September 16.
He will travel to Glasgow to say Mass in the evening, before heading to London and Birmingham for the remainder of his three-day visit.
