The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the killing of the Queenmother of Abamba near Amantin in the Atebubu area.
In a statement on Tuesday, March 10, the police said the suspects, Rafiu Haruna, Muftawu Adamu, and Michael Owusu Spermi, were apprehended through an intelligence-led operation.
On February 25, 2026, Nana Serwaa Asaamaa Kuma Gyan, the Queenmother of Abamba, was shot at her residence in the Methodist Church area of Atebubu.
The three suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, while authorities continue efforts to apprehend all individuals involved in the crime.
