Ticket prices for the much-anticipated peace game between Africa XI and World Cup XI organized by Ghana and d Chelsea star Michael Essien is out.
The match has been lined up by the Chelsea star, who is the AU ambassador for peace, to promote peace in Africa.
Essien has planned a ‘Peace Match’, an Africa XI against a World XI, to be played in Ghana’s capital city, Accra, on May 25.
The match, which will be bringing some international stars to the Accra Sports Stadium on May 25, 2011. Kick off time is 1500 GMT.
According to the event organizers, Purepersona, the gates will be opened from 9.00am on May 25 and fans can purchase their tickets from 9.00am right through to before the opening ceremony which will start at 2.00pm.
“The ticket prices will be GH¢6; GH¢15; GH¢30; GH¢50 & GH¢80 depending on where in the stadium fans will want to sit and watch the African stars battle the world stars”, organizers announce on the player’s website on May 10, 2011.
“Corporate or bulk tickets (10 or more) can be reserved by calling 0540 999 222 in Ghana and all other tickets will be on general sale at the gates on the day of the game”, it added.
Players for the match are expected to arrive on May 24 and a press conferences will be held before and after the game, organizers indicate.
The match has been organised by Essien to raise awareness of the need for peace in Africa.
