AC Milan has completed the signing of Fernando Torres on a loan deal from Chelsea.
In a brief statement on Sunday, Milan confirmed it has signed Torres on a two-year loan deal.
The 30-year-old Torres was welcomed by more than 200 fans when he arrived at Milan's Linate airport early Saturday afternoon for a medical after the two clubs agreed terms.
The Spain forward was in the stands at San Siro on Sunday to watch his new team take on Lazio in its first Serie A match of the season.
Torres joined Chelsea from Liverpool in January 2011 for what was then a British-record fee of 50 million pounds (then $81 million) but struggled to command a regular starting place for the London club.
