Mr Godwin Pinto, President of the Ghana Travel and Tourism Association (GATTA) on Wednesday announced that the second mini raffle draw of the Ghana Travel Promotion would be held in March to coincide with the independence celebrations.
The Ghana Travel Promotion is an initiative of GATTA to promote safe and responsible tourism in Ghana as well as promoting Ghana as a destination of choice in Africa.
The initiative is also GATTA's contribution to attracting tourists in generating income to develop tourists' sites in the regions to attract more tourists to deprived areas as well as promoting Ghana abroad.
Mr Pinto told GNA that the March mini draw would give away prizes worth 100 million cedis, including air tickets, Accra- London-Accra, Accra-New York Accra cash prizes, laptops and other attractive prizes. "In the subsequent draws, we will give away the Chrysler car and then the ultimate prize of a house will be given at the last draw," he said.
Mr Pinto mentioned Samuel Mensah as the winner of an Accra New York Accra ticket donated by North American Airline in the first draw held on January 30, this year.
Other winners were Michael Addo, Accra London Accra ticket by Ghana International Airlines, Kwame Doudo, Accra London Accra by Virgin Nigeria Airline, Azumah Nelson, a laptop and Kofi Ghansah, Accra Lagos Accra by Virgin Nigeria.
