The man who is said to have jumped to death from the ninth floor of the Trust Towers building at Adabraka in Accra Wednesday has been identified.
Police sources say he was identified as 70-year-old Clarus Kwabena Sekyi, who was Ambassador-in-residence at the Legon Center for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD) at the University of Ghana.
His relatives identified him at the police hospital Thursday morning.
It is not clear how the incident happened but Public Relations Officer of the Accra regional police, DSP Freeman Tettey told Joy News they suspect suicide.
He explained that the deceased’s mobile phone was intact after the fall and that searching through his phonebook the police were able to contact the family who identified him today.
Investigations, he said, are still continuing.
