Ghanaian actress, Beverly Afaglo is not happy that Ghanaian movie producers and directors are not using 'old' actors in their movie projects.
In an Instagram post, she wrote that 80% of the ‘old faces’ are currently not getting movie roles.
"How many of the old faces do you producers and directors cast anyway? 80% ain’t working. What is going on? Shoutout to all the producers holding us down. The industry needs you. Keep going,” the caption reads.
Beverly also mentions in her post that she has shot only two movies this year. She, therefore, called on movie producers to consider her while casting for their film projects.
“I think I am getting bored. I have done only two productions this whole year: ‘Yaa Basabasa’ on YouTube and one movie produced by Steve Ekeso. Where are the producers and directors? Forgotten about me? I’m a versatile actor oo. I can do it all. Or you say you want new faces? Or you can’t pay me? Try me,” she wrote.

Beverly has acted in movies such as 'I love you But', 'Return of Beyonce, 'Crime to Christ', 'Never Again', 'Single Six', 'Bachelors', 'The King's Bride', 'A Northern Affair', 'The Game' and 'Sidechic Gang.'
In 2010, she won Best Actress in Comedy at Terracotta Awards in Nigeria. She has also earned a number of nominations in various movie award schemes.
Apart from acting, Beverly runs her personal businesses. On Friday, April 5, 2024, she launched her newest business, Traffic Shawarma.
According to her, because a lot of people enter the movie industry now, actors need side businesses that will serve as alternative sources of income.
