Udinese have confirmed that Italian champions Juventus are interested in Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah.
Reports suggest that the two clubs will discuss the midfielder in a meeting on Monday.
“We are only at the end of May and we still have to make plans for next term seeing as we have the preliminary round of the Champions League to prepare for,” Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini told calcionews24.com.
“I honestly don’t know how people can suggest that an agreement between Juventus and Udinese for Asamoah has already been agreed.
“I don’t want to lie and we are aware of Juve’s concrete interest, but there are meetings, the evaluation of an offer and possible player swaps before a signature can arrive.
“You can’t say that a deal is done when no deal has been done.”
Asamoah impressed last season by scoring three goals in 31 league appearances.
