The University of Ghana, Legon has released the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy Certificate to Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, after a 12-month suspension.
The former National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) President's Certificate was withheld for two semesters following sanctions imposed on him by the University authorities for allegedly inciting some students during the 2006 Student Representative Council (SRC) election.
Mr. Enoch Amartey, Acting Director of Academic Affairs of the University told the GNA in Accra on Thursday that Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa took possession of the certificate last week.
The Acting Director said the expiration of the seizure ended last month and the release of the Certificate to the Deputy Minister marked a closure to the issue.
However, the Deputy Minister could not be reached for his reaction to the issue.
