The Editor of The Finder Newspaper, Elvis Darko has been released.
He was arrested for picketing in Parliament where he and his colleagues had gone to push for the passage of the Right to Information (RTI) Bill.
The Media Coalition on RTI has been in the forefront pushing for the passage of the almost two-decade-old bill into law.
Mr Darko had gone to the Parliament House together with his colleagues to once again register the need for the Bill to be passed into law as the Finance Minister presented the 2019 budget when he was arrested.
But an eyewitness said the Editor was whisked away by police and military officers. None of his colleagues was arrested.
