The Upper West regional Minister, Alhaji Amin Amidu Sulemani, who sustained gunshot wounds last Friday is reported to have undergone a successful surgery to remove pellets from his body.
The Minister who is on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital was attacked by armed robbers as he went round thanking the people of the Sisala West constituency for electing him as their Member of Parliament.
Public Relations Officer of the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council Tanko Bagbaara told Joynews the Minister is responding well to treatment.
The PRO revealed that, in all two pellets were removed in the successful surgery and the Minister is recuperating.
