Veteran Nolloywood actor, Enebeli Elebuwa who was hit by a stroke three months ago has been discharged from the St. Tropez Hospital, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria where he was seeking medical care.
The Delta State-born actor told Nigeriafilms.com in a telephone interview that “I’ve been in the hospital for the past three months. Although, I’ve been discharged, I’m still going for medication from my house. But the good news is that I am getting better.”
He was however full of gratitude to his colleagues as well as well meaning Nigerians who, according to him, have supported him financially, spiritually and morally.
Enebeli, a retired civil servant has been in the acting profession for the past 30 years shooting into fame with his first soap Mirror In The Sun.
His first movie was a film (celluloid) called Dinner with the Devil, produced by Sanya Dosumu in 1974/75. He played the role of a police officer investigating a crime.
He also featured in other major films including Bisi, Daughter of the River by Jab Adu and Eddie Ugboma’s Oyenusi. He also starred in several television series including the popular, The Village Headmaster.
