Renowned Ghanaian guitarist Alfred Kari Bannerman and soul singer Cuttie Williams have arrived in Accra ahead of the Joy FM Pop Chain All-Star Concert.
Alfred Kari Bannerman has performed with Bands such as Osibisa as well as music heavyweights like Hugh Masekela, the late E.T Mensah, Ronnie Laws among others.
Cuttie Williams graces international platforms with a variety of music genres including Jazz, Calypso, Soul, R&B, Reggae and Latin.
The two will be joining other international and Ghanaian musicians to raise funds for the ‘Joy Sugar Project’ which creates awareness on and screens for diabetes.
Notable Ghanaian music stars to perform on the night include Bessa Simons, Paulina Oduro and Ben Brako.
Started two years ago, the Joy FM Pop Chain has seen bands from the Pop Chain era which spans from the 60s to the 80s, perform to teeming fans who have shown willingness to support the worthy cause.
High School bands of that era will be performing to invoke memories of nightlife back in the days.
The +233 Jazz Bar and Grill at North Ridge in Accra will host the star-studded on Saturday, September 30.
