There was a sea of football fans on May 26, 2018, at the Aviation Social Centre for the biggest sports party ever.
The 8th edition of the Hitz FM Rep Ur Jersey was arguably one of the biggest sporting outdoor events of the year.
Attracting over thousand football lovers to watch the finals of the UEFA Champions League, Hitz FM thrilled patrons to good music, competitive five aside football games as well as great ambiance for the final match.
After a lot of bragging and showing off, the likes of Pounds FC headed by the host of Hitz Gallery, Dr Pounds and Turn Up FC headed by the host of Cruise Control Merqury Quaye missed the ultimate award.
The Sales Team FC, who played their debut at this year’s edition, proved that indeed the proof of the pudding is in the eating! They came out proud winners of the trophy as well as other exciting prizes.
When Real Madrid took the cup for the third time in succession later in the evening, the atmosphere was a rainbow of emotions.
The Real Madrid fans erupted in ecstasy, waving their flags with screams that matched the ones that broke the wall of Jericho.
Their joy was contagious. The Liverpool fans simply started making their way silently through the thick crowd back to their homes to most likely cry to their pillows.
There were also the ones who stayed behind to argue that their key player Mohamed Salah’s injury had had an effect on the team which eventually led to the defeat.
The hit tunes the DJ dished out after the match were only sung along to by the winners on the night.
All in all, patrons admit the experience would not have been the same without the Hitz FM touch. After all, Hitz FM mean showbiz!
