The Ghana Football Association can confirm that some members of the Black Stars team left Accra Sunday evening to the United States without coach Goran Stevanovic and two other players.
Stevanovic and players; Emmanuel Baffour and Richard Mpong are still awaiting the issuance of their visa application for entry to the United States.
A statement said: "The Ghana Football Association can confirm that Mr. Goran Stevanovic, head coach of the Black Stars and two other players; Emmanuel Baffour and Richard Mpong are yet to secure U.S. traveling visas.
"A decision on their applications is yet to be made by U.S. Embassy. If traveling visas are granted in time, they will travel to the U.S for the friendly against Chile on Wednesday."
Assistant coach, Kwesi Appiah is taking charge of the team until Stevanovic joins the group.
Ghana plays against Chile at PPL Park in Philadelphia in an international friendly on Wednesday.
