After making waves with their historic road trip from Accra to London, Wanderlust Ghana is back, and this time, they are ready for an even bigger challenge.
The bold travel group is set to embark on a 30,000-kilometre road trip, journeying from Accra to Paris, continuing to Dubai, and finally, Cape Town. This adventurous expedition will see the team cross 30 countries over the span of three months, beginning on 30th September.
At a lively take-off celebration held at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Kwabena Peprah, CEO of Wanderlust Ghana, shared his excitement with JoyNews’s Jacqueline Ansomah Yeboah, explaining that this trip is more than just an adventure, it's a mission to put Ghana on the map.
“For us, this time around, it’s about making Ghana a tourist destination for most foreigners,” Peprah emphasised, speaking of the group's ambition to showcase the country's potential on the world stage.
However, the road ahead isn’t without challenges. Peprah acknowledged that car issues are one of the major obstacles that could potentially delay the trip. But in true adventurer's spirit, he remarked, “We’re already bracing ourselves and enjoying the ride.”
The Ghana Tourism Authority, along with the Ministry of Tourism, is collaborating with Wanderlust on this ambitious project. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Akwasi Agyeman, highlighted the significance of this venture.
“This adventure will give Ghana mileage in terms of tourism, considering the various media stops they would have at the destinations in other countries,” he said.

The team’s journey will take them across diverse terrains, from the deserts of Mauritania to the skyscrapers of Dubai, and eventually down to the southern tip of Africa in Cape Town. Their route will include stops in countries like Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Spain, France, Turkey, Kenya, and many more.
With the world watching and Ghana’s flag flying high, Wanderlust Ghana is not only setting off on an extraordinary trip but also driving home the message that Ghana is a premier destination for adventure and tourism.
