Waste Landfills Company Limited on has donated two waste containers to Nsumia and Dobro community in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, Eastern Region.
The company says the donation on Tuesday 15th December, 2015 is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
Waste Landfills Company Limited is a solid waste management company. The company has a landfill site within the Nsumia township.
During the presentation, the Operations Manager of Waste landfills Mr. Richard Omani-Mensah mentioned said the company spent GH¢15,000.00 to clear and evacuate two illegal dumps where the containers will be placed in the communities.

He went on further to state that the community health compound (CHPs) which was another social responsibility project by the company was currently at the roofing stage and due for commissioning at the end of March 2016.
The two containers were received by the Assembly Man of the area Mr. Moses Ainoo, a representative of the MP of Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency Mr. George Bernasko and the Elders and opinion leaders of the community.
The Elders poured libation to thank God for the initiative by waste landfills as the two illegal dumps were spilling into nearby residences raising public health concerns.
The Operations Manager also presented the Set of soccer jerseys and soccer items to the Youth of Nsumia as a fulfillment to a promise made by the company to the youth.
Assembly Member of Nsumia-Dobro community thanked the Management of Waste Landfills Company Limited for coming to their aid with such donation to help solve their waste collection challenges they faced in the community.
He also stressed on the need for other companies to emulate such good cooperate social responsibility to help move the country forward.
