Black Stars striker Asamoah gyan admits the black stars failed to impress Ghanaians after struggling to beat Botswana 1-0 in their group D match opener on Tuesday.
According to him, the team was aware of the tough opposition from Botswana since they were the first country to qualify for the tournament.
“I want to tell Ghanaians they should keep calm because we were expecting a difficult game, our performance wasn’t what people were expecting”. He told Joy Sports
“We knew what we were doing and we scored so we should just concentrate on the next game”.
Ghana’s next game on Saturday will be against joint leaders Mali who also beat Guinea 1-0 at the same venue.
