Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has added his voice to the many others calling for experienced players into the senior national team the Black Stars.
In the team’s last couple of assignments, names like John Paintsil, John Mensah, Laryea Kingston, Michael Essien and Richard Kingson among others were missing.
Coach Kwesi Appiah is expected to blend such names touted to have a lot of experience with the current young crop of players in his squad ahead of his next major assignments and the 21-year old believes with the combination of old and new, the Black Stars will be destined for greater success in the future.
“We have to blend with new and experienced players so that those experienced players will be there for us in times of difficulties.”
“When I went to the Black Stars, the likes of John Paintsil, Sulley Muntari, John Mensah and Michael Essien are the ones who gave me encouragement.” Agyemang-Badu believes with such players in the Black Stars team, “we will get to the top.”
“We need them 100% to be there to help us do what we can for our nation.”
