Who wins Gangstarz? Will it be Blaze or G-Girls, Da Soul or Pippers? Or perhaps it would be a split decision as pertains in boxing. These are obvious questions ardent viewers of TV3’s Gangstarz reality show would be asking.
After 12 weeks of excitement the stage is set for the most thrilling moment. The grand finale of the reality show sponsored by Onetouch is slated for TV3’s studios B come Sunday, November 16.
The show is anticipated to be what would be described as the ‘best of all nights’. Four fantastic groups - Blaze, G-Girls, Pippers and Da Soul - who have over the weeks endeared themselves to viewers with their performances would stir up the show one more time.
The groups are still going through serious rehearsals to perk up their acts as well as prepare towards putting up a classic show. The judges are expected to be hard on the groups at the finals; something sources claim would make the show a thrilling one.
But which of the groups stands a better chance of making it through to the number one position? Blaze and G-girls from the beginning were on top of the game. But would their performances on Sunday keep them ahead of the others, or would Pippers or Da Soul pull some surprises to win the first ever Onetouch-sponsored Gangstarz?
The groups, however, can’t do it all alone with stage acts. The fate of the groups is thus hinged on public votes.
Last Sunday the gangs staged some preface performances to warm themselves up for the final battle. Judges BB, DKB and Jackie were not quiet happy with the acts in general. However performances of Blaze, Da Soul and Pippers deserved some flattering remarks. G-girls’ rendition of Brick & Lace’s “Love Is Wicked” however did not tickle much enthusiasm.
Twelve lucky groups entered Gangstarz twelve weeks ago.
After sizzling performances to show the stuff they were made of, Blaze, G-Girls, Pipers and Da Soul managed to find their way to the finals. 1Accord, Afro, Natives, Flames, Shades, Sparx and LS3 however could not make it as they got evicted along the way.
