The Zongo Muslim community in Hohoe is offering a thousand cedis to anyone who can find the regalia that was taken away from the palace of the Chief of Gbi during recent disturbances.
The offer was announced when leaders of the Muslim community rendered an apology to the Gbi Traditional Council for the violence.
Spokesperson for the Muslim community, Alhaji Ridwan Meriga, also gave the assurance that anyone who volunteers information on the whereabouts of the regalia will be protected.
“Anyone who can bring out the regalia or help us to trace and find the regalia or someone who can even come in a hidden way or to let us know where the regalia is, that person would be rewarded a handsome fee of GHC 1,000”, Alhaji Meriga stated.
He said the Regional Minister and the Regional Coordinating Director have also promised unannounced financial reward to whoever provides information leading to the retrieval of the missing regalia.
He also says the Zongo community is yet to receive an official response to their apology from the Gbi Traditional council.
