Songstress Wiyaala last Saturday invited veteran musician Teddy Osei to perform a duet with her at “The Lioness Concert” at Alliance Francaise, Accra to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ghana’s legendary band, Osibisa.
In one of those rare moments, when history and the present combine to create “a moment in time,” some were moved to tears as wheel-chair bound Teddy and Wiyaala performed “Woyaya”, one of the many evergreen songs penned by the band whose Billboard hits remain popular to this day.
Wiyaala said; “Osibisa were such legends in their time and it was a huge honour when Teddy agreed to come and celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary with me.”
