The Ashaiman Divisional Police Command has arrested 17 persons in the area suspected to be criminals.
The suspects were arrested Saturday night at their hideout on suspicion of engaging in armed robbery, and drug peddling.
The 17 persons were arrested at Ashaiman, Oyibi, Ayikuma, Dodowa and Michelle Camp.
Assistant Public Relations Officer for the Tema police, Joseph Barabu in an interview with Joy News appealed to the public to help identify these suspected criminals to speed up their prosecution.
According to him, “on Tuesday we are going to conduct identification parade and for that matter we are calling on the general public and people who happen to been victims of armed robbery within the vicinity of the Tema regional police command in Ashaiman to identify these suspects.”
