The Head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, has sent a special message to President John Mahama in Accra. The message was delivered on the Pope’s behalf by a delegation from the Embassy of the Holy See (Apostolic Nunciature) in Accra Tuesday. The content of the message was not disclosed, but it is believed to centre on the mutual interest of Ghana and the Holy See. The Papal delegation, led by the Charge d’Affairs of the Apostolic Nunciature, Rev Fr Cosma Ambrosini, was received by the Vice-President, Mr Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur. He thanked the delegation and said the letter would be delivered to the President, who was then on an official duty in Japan.
