CEO and founder of EIB Network, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi has recounted how some staff of his company exited when the business had some challenges.
The renowned broadcaster popularly known as Bola Ray revealed that he has lost a sizable number of workers from the company which include Starr FM, Live FM and GHOne in 2018.
Speaking at the 2019 edition of the International Youth Empowerment Summit (IYES) on Thursday at the National Theatre, he said the workers left because he had not paid salaries for seven months.
According to him, some workers came to him with several excuses including, “My wife is insulting me because I have not been able to take money home for some months now.”
“It got to a point that anybody who walks into my office, I ask: ‘Are you resigning’,” Bola Ray who established EIB five years ago, revealed.
As of today, he said, “Out of 483 workers we started EIB with, we still have some great people out there making about 300 who are still with us and across the nation.”
“These guys stayed and said even if it is 6 or 7 months, we will be with you…now we’ve been able to reduce it [the salary arears] to about two or three months,” he added.
