The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) in conjunction with Olympic Solidarity of the International Olympic Committee has held an Athletics competition for the Physically Challenged at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, in Kumasi.
The competition saw a number of Physically Challenged athletes vying for honours in Wheelchair 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x400, 800m, 1500m, 5000m events.
The amputees were not left out, as they competed in 100m, long jump, discus, and javelin events.
In the men's wheelchair 100m race, Raphael Botsyo emerged Winner In 15.37secs, and was trailed by Felix Acheampong who finished in 16.11secs.
The women's event was won by Bernice Frimpong who clocked 20.19sec while Asana Fuseini came second in 20.39secs.
Ajara Mohammed won the women's wheelchair 1500m, 800m events, with Anita Fordjour grabbing the top spot of the 400m event.
