Barclays Bank Ghana, part of the Absa Group, cemented its marketing and brand prowess in the banking sector after it won three key awards at the 2019 Marketing World Awards held on Friday, November 8, 2019.
Barclays was adjudged the Best Corporate Banking Brand of the Year whiles the Bank’s Marketing and Corporate Relations (MCR) Team was named the Marketing Team of the Year.
The Bank’s MCR Director, Nana Essilfuah Boison was also listed as one of the top marketing and communications professionals across West Africa.
The awards are in recognition of Barclays’ excellence in creating marketing and communication strategies that bring out the bank’s offerings in terms of products and services with a clear message to its customers, making it a leader in the banking sector.
Receiving the awards, Nana Essilfuah Boison said “We are very excited to receive these awards. They demonstrate our track record in providing innovative and marketing communications to create shared value for our customers, communities, and stakeholders. These will remain our focus, as we transition to Absa early next year.”
In its 9th edition, the Marketing World Awards recognizes and rewards outstanding brands, best campaigns, marketing innovations, creative use of digital marketing channels, and celebrates professionals, agencies and in-house teams who work tirelessly to connect brands to their audience.
