The Multimedia Group scooped seven prestigious awards at the 2014 edition of the Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards.
The fourth edition of the awards came off at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) Saturday. The event rewards excellence in radio and television in Ghana.
Multimedia’s outfits Joy FM, Adom FM, Hitz FM, Asempa FM and Joy News TV all picked up awards on the night.
Adom FM’s "Kasiebo Is Tasty" won Radio News Programme of the Year while Hitz FM’s DJ Awana picked up the Radio DJ of the year.
Mid-Morning Show host of the year went to Maame Akua Austin (Asempa FM) while Radio Gospel Show Host of the year was won by Kwamena Idun of Adom FM.
Host of "Dwaso Nsem" on Adom FM, Captain Smart was adjudged Radio Personality of the year in the Greater Accra Region.
Nana Ansah Kwao walked home with the TV Current Affairs Show Host of the year award for PM Express, which airs on Joy News TV, while host of Home Affairs on Joy FM, Edem Knight-Tay won the Radio Development Show Host of the Year.
For the fourth year running, Peace FM’s Kwame Sefa Kaye was adjudged RTP Personality of the Year.
The RTP Awards night, organised by Big Events, apart from the presentation of laurels, witnessed exciting performances from Obrafour, Bisa Kdei, DSP Kofi Sarpong, Akoo Nana, Galaxy and Joyce Blessing.
