The Kofi Abban Foundation on Wednesday, visited some communities in Accra to donate food to the vulnerable.
The capital, as part of measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic, has been under lockdown for the past ten days.
There is a possibility of extension before the two weeks initial duration expires.
This has raised economic concerns, especially for the vulnerable. The Kofi Abban Foundation like others have done, ventured out to help alleviate the sufferings of these groups.

On Wednesday, the group made stoppages at Mamprobi, Kaneshie and Nima as part of its humanitarian initiative of supporting less privileged and vulnerable who have been hard-hit by the lockdown.
They donated 1,500 bags of rice and vegetable oil in addition to some 1,000 packs of cooked rice.

“With a united purpose, love and sense of solidarity, we will triumph over this pandemic,” says Mr. Abban.

The Foundation, together with is associates, including the founder of Uriel Impact Generation, Portia Yayra Klu, visited other parts of the Greater Accra region on Monday.

They visited the Ashaiman Central Mosque, St Maurice Catholic Church at La and Panpa Circle Station in Labadi to feed the aged and the physically challenged.

They also distributed over 1,000 packs of cooked food and 1,500 bags of rice and oil to several households.
