Speaking at a short ceremony in Accra, the Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana, Samuel Koranteng said the donation followed a request from the Institute to help support its administrative work for effective and efficient data management.
“Having acknowledged the role, the institute plays in National research and particularly in the Corona Virus pandemic; the MTN Ghana Foundation board immediately approved the purchase of these equipment to facilitate their work”.

Mr. Koranteng hoped the equipment will facilitate and further enhance the good work the health professionals are doing to help fight the pandemic in the country.

Mr. Koranteng said the support was for the procurement of medical supplies, which include personal protective equipment and other essentials to support frontline medical staff.
“We have provided data packages for health workers, supported the Ministry of Health, the Ghana Health Service, and some educational institutions with a free website,” he added.
For his part, the Director of the Institute, Professor Abraham Kwabena Anang thanked MTN Foundation for their timely intervention.
