Ex-Asante Kotoko captain and coach Abdul Razak is calling for a representation of former players on the current board of the club.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II recently constituted a nine-member- board made up of people with business, financial and sporting expertise led by Oil mogul Dr Kwame Kyei.
But speaking on Luv FM Kick off with Delali Atiase, the former African best player said it was wrong not to have an ex-player on the board.
"Today we have a new board for the club but not even an ex-player on the board," he says.
"So we players just come and play for the club and finish bye bye, the club don't need you again. No, they shouldn't do that; they make sure an old player is in there.”
Razak though concedes the wealth of experience of the board members in their various fields of endeavour but insists the inclusion of an ex-player on the board is important to the success of the club.
"The board I know most of them, they are big men, bankers etc. But when it comes to football they can never beat anybody who has done it before so they [should] sit down and think about this thing.”
Razak last coached Asante Kotoko in 2003 where he guided the team to the league title.
