Barely one week after failing to retain the Ledzokuku parliamentary seat, the outgoing MP, Dr Bernard Okoe Boye has affirmed his commitment to public service by returning to his post at the Lekma Hospital in Teshie.
In his first public appearance post-elections, the Deputy Health Minister was seen in his white coat attending to patients who visited the facility on Monday.
In a Facebook post cited by Myjoyonline.com, Dr Okoe Boye stated that although some of his staff members were happy to see him doing well, others were "surprised at my activity having assumed that not winning the Parliamentary election meant away with community service".

For Dr. Okoe Boye, "the joy a true Leader experiences does not lie in the position he holds but in the service his people receive", thus, reiterating his stance to avail himself to the service of his community.
"I thank God that you do not have to necessarily hold a position to assist others to experience a better world. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow," his post read.
Dr Okoe Boye lost the Ledzokuku seat to NDC's Benjamin Ayiku Narteh in the just-ended December polls.
