The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak says the Minority in Parliament would resume its rightful place as heroes of the nation.
His comment follows several criticism hurled at the NDC MPs for failing to stand in unison amidst the approval of some ministers-designate appointed by President Akufo-Addo.
This according to some party supporters has resulted in the resignation of MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa from Parliament’s Appointments Committee although the MP in question did not allude to that in his resignation letter dated March 30, to the Speaker.
But backing the stance by Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu that the members of the Minority Caucus will survive the criticisms, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak in a tweet stated that the NDC MPs will redeem themselves on return from recess.
According to him, although present events regarding the Minority have gone south, the NDC representatives in Parliament have learnt their lessons and will “become heroes again.”
Started on a high note on January 7th, ended on low note on March 30th; went from heroes to villains. Lessons learnt, will redeem ourselves on return from recess, will become heroes again. Once bitten twice shy! Keep the faith with the minority caucus.

The Builsa South MP, therefore, urged all rank and file of the opposition National Democratic Congress to continue to be steadfast and “keep faith with the Minority Caucus” to hold the incumbent government accountable.
Also, the National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has in a press statement dated March 31 assured party members and Executives that "the matters that have provoked public commentary have been dealt with in a manner that will promote and strengthen the cohesion of the party and all its organs”.
