The CEO of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, has called on up-and-coming musicians to constantly promote their work on all their social media handles.
According to him, he discovered his artistes, especially the new ones, on social media and reached out to them after exploring the work they had on their pages.
In a post on Instagram, Don Jazzy shared screenshots of his conversations with Ayra Starr, Boy Spyce and new act Bayanni.
He had reached out to all of them in December 2019.

“From these three screenshots, you can see that I reached out to Ayra, Boyspyce and Bayanni myself. I won't have reached out to them if I didn't see a sample of what they can do on their Instagram pages,” he wrote.
The Mavins Records CEO added that it may seem “uncool” for the up-and-coming act to continuously post themselves on social media but those are the mediums people can discover them.
Don Jazzy explained that artistes will continue to stay in the dark or be known to just their families and a handful of people if they fail to promote themselves.
“For the umpteenth time, showcase yourself on your page,” he advised.
Don Jazzy and Olamide have been receiving praise from music lovers for discovering some of Nigeria's biggest acts including Rema, Fireboy, Asake, Ladipoe, Korede Bello and many more.
The Mavin Records CEO recently a promo video to introduce his new signee Bayanni which got many social media users talking.
