Multiple award winning artiste, songwriter and entrepreneur, Okyeame Kwame, has revealed that his calling is to use what he has to affect society positively.
He made the disclosure in an interview with Hitz Entertainment News.
When asked what inspired his decision to move his passion from just entertaining people to doing something positive for society, the Rap Doctor said “Its consciousness, realizing that my life is not for me and I have been empowered to have the type of personality that can encourage and inspire people.”
He continued that, “I believe that this is my calling and my calling is to use what I have to affect the society positively……so I’m on my path and I can’t sleep until I have done it.”
Commenting on his drop from the 58th position of the Most Influential Celebrity last year to the 99th this year, the CEO of One Mic Entertainment said, “I just think that once Ghana is 24million people and they are looking for top 100 Ghanaians and am a part of it, all the judges, lawyers, speakers of parliament, ministers and me, a common musician, as long as I stay in the hundreds, I’m happy.”
Okyeame Kwame has from 2009 administered free Hepatitis B screening, to educate, counsel and create awareness to help eradicate the disease from Ghana using entertainment.
the entertainer and philanthropist is currently building a Hepatitis B center at Tamale in the Northern region.
