Mental awareness coach, Naa Okailey Okaitey, has advised women to give room for boundaries and balance in their daily lives.
As a human, she believes not everyone can do everything, hence the need for women to accept the fact that their capacity is limited and open up for corrections in the quest to stabilise their relationship and self-confidence.
Speaking to KMJ on Prime Morning on Tuesday, Madam Okaitey said that women should agree with the notion that there is no superwoman and they cannot be confident at all times.
"As a woman, you are still human, so your capacity is limited. You can’t do everything, and you can’t be confident all the time... It is not possible unless you’re superwoman... So just accept that, first of all, ‘I’m a human being, and my capacity is limited."
"The fact that I want to show that I am confident or that I bring something to the table does not mean I have to bring everything to the table. Give room for boundaries and balance," she said.
Madam Okaitey also pleaded with women to stop seeing men as competitors and enemies. Instead, she encouraged them to cooperate and work hand-in-hand with men.
This, according to her, will enable men to pass on their knowledge and skills to women and bounce ideas off each other while maintaining healthy relationships to boost self-confidence.
"Men have been running this game for 2000 plus years, and they will not slow down for us, but they are not our enemies in this case. We also need to carve our own niche and project it as loudly and strongly as possible."
The psychotherapist said that people should speak and think positively about themselves in order to build and maintain self-confidence.
She believes the human brain is an echo of the human thoughts and reacts to whatever it is fed.
