Turkish side Besiktas has confirmed the signing of Ghana international Daniel Amartey for the 2023/24 season.
The Black Stars defender joins the club as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
Amartey signs a three-year deal with the club which will see him stay until June 2026.
The Ghanaian arrived in Turkey earlier in the day and completed his medical as part of the mandatory process required to complete the transfer.
The deal was confirmed by the club late on Friday, with a statement on their website.
"Our club signed a contract with Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey as part of the transfer efforts for the 2023-24 season," the statement read.
"We wish Daniel Amartey, who we believe will render important services to our club, great success with our glorious uniform, and present it to the public with our respect."
Besiktas finished third in the Turkish League last season and are expected to play in the Europa Conference League next season.
