Deputy Sports Minister, Evans Opoku Bobbie has assured Ghanaians that the Black Stars' technical team will rectify their mistakes for better a performance at next year's Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana will feature at the continental event to be hosted by Ivory Coast in January after beating Central African Republic 2-1 in the last qualifier.
But the performance of the team in the entire six matches has not impressed many followers of the game.
Bobie is confident the team will come good for the upcoming tournament.
“I believe the technical team will assess the team and make the necessary corrections going into next year's AFCON so we can have a formidable team," he told Akoma FM.
“With good preparations and rectifying some few technical mistakes in our team, I believe strongly that we can make a very good impact at AFCON 2023.”
Ghana is set to face Liberia in an international friendly on Tuesday as head coach Chris Hughton seeks to sharpen the rough edges ahead of the tournament.
The Black Stars will hope to avoid the disaster at the last AFCON where the team exited the group stages with a point to show after three matches.
