The American Consul General in Ghana, Elliot Fertik, has explained how easy and flexible the process and requirements for a visa application could be for anyone.
To the Consular, the processes are simple. However, she noted that it takes a slight mistake for a person to be denied a visa.
In an interview on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, Mr Fertik stated that an applicant’s answers to questions during the interview can secure or deny them the visa.
According to him, honesty is the rule of the game.
“If you are not honest or present fake documents, you could be forbidden from travelling to the United States for the rest of your life,” he warned.
He added that every interviewer at the consul will always look out for the three most important things to approve a visa application.
“Some people also think it is the documents they submit but it is about the answers to the questions. You should expect common questions like; what you do in Ghana, why you want to leave and if you have ever travelled outside Ghana before.
“You must show that you have strong ties to Ghana that will make you return but some people during the interview are not able to prove this,” Mr Fertik advised.
