Ghanaian legend Abedi Pele says there could be a future for Ghana football after watching the Black Galaxies.
Abedi was the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram earlier this week as the Black Galalxies played against his side, Nania FC, as part of their preparations for the CHAN qualifiers.
The various national teams have fallen short as far as major honours are concerned in recent times with many admitting there is no imminent way back for the Ghana Football Association.
However, the 60-year-old believes the domestic players in camp breathe a sigh of relief.
“It has been a great pleasure for me to get the honour to players against you. What I have discovered is that you have a very god team — strong physically, technically and wonderful,” he told the players after the game.
“For me, the future is in the making. The future of Ghana football is in the making. The reason is, when you are born in this country and you are playing for the nation team, the bond, the hunger to succeed, the courage, the determination is paramount.”
Ghana face Nigeria later this month in the playoff round for next year’s CHAN with the first leg scheduled for Accra Sports Stadium before traveling home to the Nigeria for the reverse fixture.
