Attram De Visser has secured a historic spot in the semifinals of the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup for the first time in their history after edging out PAC Academy in a dramatic quarterfinal clash at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday.
Both teams entered the game on the back of impressive victories over Premier League opposition in the round of 16.
PAC Academy stunned two-time champions Medeama SC, while Attram De Visser overcame Bibiani Gold Stars to set up this crucial encounter.
The game was tightly contested, with both sides displaying determination and resilience.
PAC Academy took the lead in the 63rd minute when Evans Sarfo converted from the penalty spot.
However, Attram De Visser, managed by former Ghana international Godwin Attram, refused to back down and pushed for an equaliser.
Their persistence paid off in stoppage time (90+3) when Gabriel Matumassey found the back of the net from a corner kick to force the game into a penalty shootout.
The Accra-based side held their nerve in the shootout, winning 4-3 to seal their place in the semifinals. They will now await the winner of the Berekum Chelsea vs. Bechem United clash.
