The first quarter draw brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the National Insurance Commission (NIC), Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), customers and other executives of Star Assurance.
Conducted by the National Lottery Authority, ten (10) lucky customers: Stephen, car registration number EN 1**25, Abu GE 1**16, Muniru ER 3**12, Richlove GW 8**18, Kenneth GW 3**7 Z, Richard GG 2**22, Felix GN 1**09, Eva GN 1**23, Seth GX 7**15 and Alfred GG 3**23, - were randomly selected for cash prize rewards of GHS 10,000 each amounting to GHS 100,000. Winners were contacted live during the event to confirm their participation and reward.
The 40 Reasons to Smile Promo, which runs from January 2025 to December 2025, was launched to reward customer loyalty. Throughout the year, customers who buy or renew their existing Star Motor Insurance Policy, including Comprehensive, Third-Party, and Third-Party Extra automatically stand the chance of emerging as one of 10 winners to be rewarded with an amazing cash prize of GHS 10,000 each, in four quarterly draws.
The promo will climax in December 2025 with a grand draw where one lucky customer will win the ultimate prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai.
Speaking at the event, Madam Esther Konadu Ofori, the Eastern Regional Manager of the National Insurance Commission (NIC), commended Star Assurance for its customer-first approach and consistency in delivering value. She emphasized the importance of drivers partnering with credible insurance providers like Star Assurance, noting that insurance is a statutory requirement and a vital tool for long-term financial protection.
Also present at the event was Rev. Johnson Kyereh, Eastern Regional Chairman of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), who praised Star Assurance for its integrity and reliability.
“Star Assurance has proven time and again that they are a trustworthy insurance company,” he said. “I urge all drivers, cooperative unions of drivers and everyone here to take advantage of this exciting promo.”
Commenting on the outcome of the maiden draw, Mr. Justice Frank Offei, Chief Finance Officer of Star Assurance, reaffirmed the company’s long-standing commitment to giving back to customers. He explained that for 40 years, Star Assurance has consistently provided protection to individuals and businesses across Ghana.
According to him, the “40 Reasons to Smile” promo is a gesture of appreciation meant to reward loyalty and bring moments of joy to its customers. He encouraged more customers to buy or renew their existing motor insurance policies to be part of the upcoming draws.
With the first draw successfully completed, anticipation is already being built for the second quarter of the promo. Customers are encouraged to keep renewing their policies to increase their chances of winning.
