The Government has imposed a new curfew timeline on Bawku, Nalerigu, and surrounding communities, effective from 2:00 pm to 6:00 am daily, beginning today, Sunday, 27th July 2025, until further notice.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of the Interior, the government explained that the curfew forms part of broader efforts to restore peace in the affected areas following a surge in violent incidents.
It also serves a critical humanitarian purpose, to provide a secure environment for the safe evacuation of students from various educational institutions in the conflict zones.
