The Managing Director of National Investment Bank (NIB) PLC, Dr Doli-Wura Zakaria Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu, was highly recognised at the prestigious Ghana CEO Awards held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
He was named CEO of the Year in Finance and CEO of the Year in Transformational Leadership.

The Ghana CEO Awards is an annual recognition scheme that honours the most outstanding Chief Executives across various sectors in corporate Ghana, including both public and private institutions.
Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria is a distinguished national and global figure with over two decades of experience in governance, public financial management, and revenue mobilisation at both local and national levels.

He is also an accomplished entrepreneur with extensive expertise in leadership, conflict resolution, mediation, audit, decentralisation, research, training, capacity building, lobbying, and inter-faith peacebuilding.
He currently serves as Chairperson of the African Union Interfaith Dialogue Forum (AU-IFDF) Steering Committee.

In less than six months at the helm of NIB PLC, with the support of government, the Board, management, and staff, he has led a remarkable turnaround of the bank’s fortunes after over seven years of financial distress.
Under his leadership, NIB has been fully recapitalised, with deposit mobilisation reaching an all-time high of over GH¢7 billion.

The bank has also published its half-year 2025 financial statements for the first time in several years. Staff morale has significantly improved following reforms that include salary increases and a gradual restoration of working conditions.
The awards are a testament to his vast experience, proven track record, and exceptional ability to transform financial systems, enhance revenue streams, and contribute to national development through innovative and strategic leadership.

Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria is known for his courage, forthrightness, and results-oriented leadership. A true team player, he exemplifies integrity and effectiveness.
These recognitions serve as both an impetus and a catalyst to further his strategic initiatives aligned with Ghana’s economic growth agenda and to position NIB PLC as a leader in development finance.

This year’s awards ceremony was held under the theme “Mobilising Domestic and International Tourists and Investors Through CEOs” — a timely focus as the government intensifies efforts to mobilise resources for national development.
The Board of Directors, management, and staff of NIB PLC have extended their warm congratulations to Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria for this well-deserved honour.

“We are indeed proud of you, as this achievement reflects positively on all stakeholders of NIB PLC. We look forward to a continued era of progress, innovation, and pragmatic leadership.”
Chief Dr. Doli-Wura Zakaria dedicated the awards to the management and staff of NIB PLC.
