The final event of the National Talent Identification Program for Zone 1 was successfully held at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Organised by the Ghana Para Athletics Association in collaboration with the National Paralympic Committee (NPC-Ghana), the program brought together over fifty (50) persons with various forms of disability from the Central Region.
Participants showcased their potential across multiple track and field events, including shot put, discus, javelin, wheelchair racing, 100m, and 800m races, demonstrating remarkable stamina, endurance, and agility.
The program concluded on a high note with the discovery of several promising para athletes for future competitions.
Following successful events in Kumasi and Cape Coast, the next phase of the talent identification drive heads to Koforidua on August 16, with over 20 athletes already registered to participate.
